What happens
Dennis Carson runs a rubber plantation in French Indochina, where he has long been involved with the restless Vantine. When Gary Willis and his young wife Barbara arrive at the plantation by river, Dennis reluctantly takes them in while Gary recovers from fever. As the weeks pass, Dennis and Barbara find themselves drawn to each other, and the tension grows between the men and between the lovers. The heat and the rain of the monsoon season press in around them. This recording of the Screen Guild Theater's 1940 presentation of Red Dust, starring Clark Gable and Anne Southern, follows the play's first two acts.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
