What happens

Elliot and Amanda, former spouses who divorced five years ago, each marry new partners, Sibyl and Victor, and find themselves on honeymoons at the same hotel. A chance meeting on the terrace stirs old feelings and jealousy as the couples keep crossing paths. Vivian Leigh and Laurence Olivier star in Noel Coward's comedy Private Lives, presented on the Screen Guild Theater in October 1940, with Heather Angel and Tom Conway in supporting roles. The first part of the play follows the newlyweds as their pasts resurface and their tempers begin to clash.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
