What happens
Baby Snooks is wrapping up a bedtime story for her father, who tells her the tale of Pinocchio. An old toymaker named Geppetto lives alone with his cat Figaro and goldfish, and wishes on a star that his carved wooden puppet might become a real boy. A blue fairy brings the puppet to life and assigns a cricket, Jiminy, to be his conscience. Pinocchio sets off for school, but he is quickly lured away by tempting strangers. The episode is an adaptation of Walt Disney's Pinocchio, presented on the Screen Guild Theater with Fanny Brice as Baby Snooks and Handley Stafford as Daddy, Carol Smith as Pinocchio and Arthur Cobbs as Jiminy. The broadcast aired on December 30, 1946.
A cottage in a village, and later a street, a puppet theatre, and Pleasure Island.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
