The story is presented as a comedy on the Screen Guild Theater, broadcast on October 8, 1945, with Mary Astor as Caroline, Brian Ahern as Anthony and Alan Jocelyn as Paul. The episode is adapted from the RKO Radio Pictures film of the same name.

Miami and Palm Beach, Florida, and the Mason home near Hope Sound, with later scenes in New York

Characters: Anthony Mason, Caroline Mason, Paul Martindale, Jenkins, Muirhead, Mr. Bradley

Listen for: Anthony's dry, teasing exchanges with Caroline and Paul, and the scene in which he calmly arranges for Paul to be driven to the train

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
