What happens
Joan Chambers and her husband Fred both work for J.J. Benson, whose rigid rule bars married women from employment, so Joan works under the name Joan Keating. When Madam Benson sends her son Ralph into the firm as manager of exploitation, Joan becomes his secretary, and Ralph's attention to her strains her marriage. Fred, unable to act openly as a husband, grows jealous and frustrated as the office rivalry and the pressure of saving for their child build. This Lady Esther Screen Guild Players production is an adaptation of the Universal Pictures domestic comedy Model Wife, heard on the Screen Guild Theater series on October 15, 1945. Martha O'Driskell, Robert Page and Rod Cameron star.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
