What happens

Scott Miller, a businessman, becomes entangled with Kay Colby, who is engaged to Bill Wadsworth, an oil company employee. When Bill is sent away to China, Kay is furious at Scott, who she believes has arranged the transfer to clear his own path. The two trade sharp words at every turn, from a tavern brawl to a ball where Scott plays a sly game with her. This is a Screen Guild Theater adaptation of a Universal Pictures comedy romance, based on a Faith Baldwin story, broadcast on January 22, 1945, with Brian Donlevy, Virginia Bruce and David Bruce in the leading roles.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
