What happens

Hillbilly girl Judy Hull, who has just shot a carrier pigeon and helped round up a nest of spies, is approached by FBI Inspector Cliff Little, who asks her to infiltrate the Club 76, a New York nightclub run by Philip Munson, the head of a Nazi spy ring. Judy agrees to take a singing job there. This Screen Guild Theater adaptation of the Republic Pictures film Joan of Ozark, first broadcast on February 5, 1945, stars Judy Canova and Joe E. Brown. The club's owner, Munson, has Judy introduced to his patrons as the Ozark Nightingale, and she begins to suspect a visitor of being a spy.

The Ozarks and New York City, including the Club 76 nightclub.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
