What happens

Private Jerry Walker and his buddy Barney Hilliard, two soldiers at an army camp, are approached by two women from a nearby reducing farm who offer them $200 to spend a day with them. Jerry is already in trouble with Lieutenant Wiggins after a jeep mishap, and he needs money to marry his fiancee, Winnie. The Screen Guild Theater presents this 1943 radio adaptation of the Paramount film Let's Face It, starring Bob Hope, Jane Wyman and Bill Goodwin, first broadcast on December 27, 1943. The story sets up a deal that threatens to complicate both soldiers' romantic lives and their standing with the army.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
