What happens
Journalist John Davis and his wife Nora live in wartime London, where his work as a foreign correspondent keeps him in danger. After a bombing destroys their hotel room and injures Nora, Davis finds himself responsible for two war orphans, Margaret and Peter, whose lives become entwined with his own. Robert Young stars as John Davis, with Anita Louise as Nora, Margaret O'Brien as Margaret and Billy Severn as Peter. This Screen Guild Theater broadcast, first aired in April 1943, presents the first two acts of the story.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
