What happens
Priam Farr, a celebrated painter, is about to be knighted, but he falls gravely ill in London and his devoted valet, Henry Leake, is mistakenly declared dead. Leake, who is terrified of facing the investiture ceremony alone, takes Farr's name and identity. Under the name Henry Leake he marries Alice Chalice, a widow he met through a matrimonial bureau, and they settle in Putney. Frank Morgan and Faye Bainter star in this Screen Guild Theater play, broadcast on December 13, 1943.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
