What happens

Jim Hardy, a former nightclub entertainer, opens a roadside inn that is open only on holidays and stages shows built around each one. He hires Linda Mason, a singer and dancer who arrives looking for work, and they begin to fall for each other. Jim's former partner, Ted Hanover, is a rival for Linda's affections, and Jim must find a way to keep her from him. Screen Guild Theater presents this musical adaptation of the Paramount film Holiday Inn on January 11, 1943, with Bing Crosby as Jim Hardy and Dinah Shore as Linda Mason, with the music and holiday songs of the story.

A roadside inn in Connecticut that opens only on holidays, and later Hollywood.

Listen for: Jim's holiday-themed songs, including White Christmas and Be Careful, It's My Heart, and the rivalry with Ted over Linda.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
