What happens

Connie Harding, a young orphan just graduating from school, is left behind when her Aunt Grace and cousin Barbara fail to collect her as promised. At their New York home she meets the household staff, including the butler George, and learns that Barbara is hoping to catch the eye of the wealthy Ted Drake. Barbara sends Connie to delay Ted before a riding outing, and their encounter at a pond leads to an unexpected meeting. The Screen Guild Players present this Universal Pictures comedy, first broadcast on May 14, 1945, starring Peter Lawford as Ted Drake, Arthur Treacher as George, and Shirley Temple as Connie.

New York, in the home of Aunt Grace and cousin Barbara, and at a riding club and a society ball.

Listen for: Connie's first meeting with Ted at the pond, and George's scheme to get Connie to the ball.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
