What happens

Captain Alan Gaskell commands the freighter SS Kin Long on the run through the China Sea, where his former lover China Doll boards the ship unexpectedly. Among the passengers is Sibyl Barclay, an old acquaintance whose past with Gaskell is revived on the voyage. Tension grows as gold is aboard and a shipboard gambling bet and a tense exchange between the characters reveal hidden loyalties. Screen Guild Theater presented this adaptation of the MGM film China Seas on December 4, 1944, starring Clark Gable and Lucille Ball.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
