What happens

Two broke, out-of-work men, Hank and Ted, are hired by a man to stop the wedding of Joan Maweek to Don Carlos Gonzales, a South American coffee planter. Their plan goes wrong when they are accused of impersonation and kidnapping, and they set out to track down Gonzales. The story is a screwball farce from the Screen Guild Theater, first broadcast on February 23, 1941, starring Bob Hope as Hank, Bing Crosby as Ted and Betty Grable as Joan. The transcript runs only to the start of the second act, where the pair have boarded the South America-bound liner and Hank and Ted are hiding in the honeymoon suite.

New York City, then aboard the South America-bound liner SS Southern Cross

Characters: Hank, Ted, Joan, Don Carlos Gonzales, The Captain, The Steward

Listen for: Hank and Ted's stowaway antics in the honeymoon suite, and the Captain's suspicion of Carlos's voice

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
