What happens
Jack Douglas, a young American living in Paris, refuses to return home as his father wishes, preferring to stay on in the city. He meets Mary Lou Masters, a shopping service worker at the Hotel Maurice, and their acquaintance leads to a series of playful exchanges, outings, and shopping errands. Jack's attentions to Mary Lou are complicated by his father's plans for him, and by a marriage arrangement with a woman named Patricia. The episode is part of the Screen Guild Theater series, broadcast on April 30, 1939, and features Irene Dunne as Mary Lou and Cary Grant as Jack. The story is a comedy of mistaken impressions and romantic maneuvering.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
