What happens

Dale and Jenny Williams celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary, but their marriage has grown routine and strained. Jenny is set to travel to Atlantic City for a magazine assignment, and her husband seems indifferent to the trip. Their household is further unsettled by a faulty refrigerator and by Rosa, the housekeeper, who is troubled by her own marriage. Gloria Moore, a divorcee and Dale's old acquaintance, drops by, and the tension between the couple deepens. This comedy is from the Screen Directors Playhouse series, and it aired on NBC on March 20, 1949. Loretta Young stars as Jenny, with Robert Bailey as Dale.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
