What happens
Steve Ireland and his wife Susan have been happily married for four years in the Winston Towers apartments. Steve's former girlfriend Isabelle moves into the apartment above them, and a jammed elevator ride leads to a string of misunderstandings. Susan doubts Steve's account and prepares to divorce him. Steve, hoping to delay the divorce, pretends to be insane so that a lunacy commission will review his case. The episode is part of the Screen Directors Playhouse series, a radio adaptation of the 1949 film Love Crazy, starring William Powell, and it was first broadcast on 1949-08-19.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
