What happens
Richard Diamond is hired by Mrs. Edna Wolf to follow her husband George, whom she believes is seeing another woman. Diamond tails George to an apartment building where he finds the man fleeing a murder scene—a young woman named Nancy Fowler lies dead with a bullet wound. George is arrested, and evidence points to his guilt: his gun, his fingerprints, and a bracelet with his handwriting. But Diamond grows suspicious when he uncovers a connection to Eddie Young, owner of the Gilded Cage nightclub where Nancy worked, and a phone call made from the dead girl's apartment to the Wolf house at a crucial time.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
