What happens
Ranger Bill Jefferson and his fellow rangers Stumpy and Ralph are called to the Shady River trestle, where ice has jammed against the bridge and threatens the railroad line. Superintendent John Bostrom asks for help, and the rangers set charges of dynamite to break up the ice. With heavy freight traffic crossing the trestle, the crew must decide how to ease the pressure on the bridge before the flood water rises further. The story takes place during a warm spring thaw, when the rangers face both the danger of the ice and the demands of keeping trains moving.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
