What happens

Ranger Bill, a Ranger with a double, is pursued through Central City by a spy ring. Jojo Jones and his mother spot Ranger Bill in town out of uniform, but the man denies knowing them and walks off. Jojo follows him to a waterfront warehouse, where two men are handling stolen papers and planning to leave the country. Ranger Bill's friends Stumpy and Mrs. Jones begin searching for Jojo, and the mistaken identity between the two Bills, along with Jojo's hat, becomes central to the case. The episode is part of the Ranger Bill radio series; the original air date is May 6, 1961. Lead actors and network are not stated in the transcript.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
