What happens

Ranger Bill's men investigate a series of threats and burnings in the forest country, centered on Grey Wolf and Henry. The trouble traces to John Harrison, a university student who claims descent from the famous Sitting Bull and has been mocked by classmates. Grey Wolf visits the aged Two Feathers Flying Hawk, who warns that the burning grass sign signals danger. Sheriff Cal Ormsby reports growing fear in the district after barns and houses are set alight, and officers search for the young man. Grey Wolf sets out to find him. The transcript ends before the story is resolved.

A forest ranger district in the American West, with a reservation village, a nearby university and rural ranches.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
