What happens

Ranger Bill, the Defense Chief for Nadi Pine, faces a runaway guided missile that circles overhead after an air raid alert sounded by Charlie. Bill and his fellow rangers, including Stumpy Jenkins, worry about the rocket's uncontrolled flight over the forest, the town and the surrounding ranches. Bill brings in Dr. Horace Talbot, a missile expert, to identify the craft and find a way to bring it down without wrecking the countryside. Officials argue over the timing and methods, and townspeople are ordered to shelter in their cellars while the rocket's fuel runs low. The episode is titled Charlie's Nightmare and was first broadcast as part of the Ranger Bill series on 1959-01-21.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
