What happens

Ranger Bill and his rangers investigate after Mrs. Edna Phipps is bitten by a bat at her home on Seven Mile Street, and Ranger Bill confirms one of the bats has rabies. Bill brings in a specialist, Fulton McCormack, to capture the bats, and the rangers set about tracking down any more animals in the area. Neighbor Hazel Frost spreads alarm through town, and Bill has to deal with the panic and the rumors while Mrs. Phipps receives treatment. The rangers try owls as a way to drive the bats away from the town.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
