What happens

Ranger Bill and his team, the Rangers, defend their state championship in a bobsled race at Culver's Peak in Naughty Pine. Their rivals, the Cold Brothers from the southern part of the state, are considered a serious threat, and the Rangers' sled is in need of speed. Bill, Phil, Ned, Henry, Stumpy and Tom work on their runners and make timed test runs, while rumours spread around town about their results. A mishap with the truck leaves their own sled damaged just before the race, and the team must find another way to compete. The series is Ranger Bill, and this episode first aired on November 29, 1958.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
