What happens
Ranger Bill and his fellow rangers find a fifteen-year-old boy, Gary Danforth, walking alone along a snowy highway out of town. Gary says he has run away because his stepfather, Jake Danforth, beats him and rules the house with anger. Bill and Gray Wolf speak with Gary's mother, Arlene, and then with Jake, who responds with threats and hostility. Jake's anger spreads to his work at the railroad yard, where his temper escalates. The rangers try to reach him through kindness, prayer and faith, and the story follows the struggle to change his behavior.
Naughty Pine, a small town in winter with a highway running into the forest, a railroad yard and the Danforth home at 69 Pleasant Drive.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
