What happens
Ranger Bill and his rangers respond to a warm winter wind called a Chinook that is melting snow and ice in the mountains above Naughty Pine. Jack Kimball and Cole Nason, who run Mid-Mountain Dam, fear that a slide of moving ice could destroy the dam and flood the town below. Bill and his men travel up through the mountains to the ice fields in Deep Valley to see the danger for themselves. The rangers find massive blocks of ice grinding down the valley, and Bill begins to devise a plan to stop them at Bottleneck Canyon.
