What happens

Ranger Bill's young friend Freddy and his friend Henry decide to build a fallout shelter in the basement of Freddy's house, with his father's approval and supplies. Their work goes smoothly at first, and Freddy seems unusually careful. Ranger Bill visits the house, where Harold, Freddy's father, is skeptical of religious commitment. When the boys shut themselves into the finished shelter, the door sticks, a pile of junk falls outside it, and water begins to rise inside. The episode is part of the Ranger Bill radio series, produced by the Moody Bible Institute.

A small town, in the houses of Freddy and Henry, and the basement of Freddy's house where a fallout shelter is being built.

Characters: Ranger Bill, Freddy, Henry, Harold, Anne, Stumpy

Listen for: The sound of the shelter door sticking shut and the rising water as the boys are trapped inside.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
