What happens
Ranger Bill investigates when eight-year-old Elizabeth Johnson goes missing in the woods after a babysitter takes her on an overnight hike. Her parents, Dave and Betty Johnson, had worried about reports of a strange man hanging around the school, and the town's sheriff and rangers begin a search of the forest preserve at the edge of town. The story follows the rangers and the Johnsons as the search grows urgent as darkness falls.
