What happens

Ranger Bill tries to reform Jim Phelps, nicknamed Muscles, a bully who has come to Naughty Pine from Central City to live with an uncle. After Muscles and his friends rough up Henry Scott over a pair of shoes that belonged to Mary Lou, Judge White places the three boys under Bill's supervision. Bill takes them into the wilderness, where they are cold, hungry and frightened, and where he quietly keeps watch over them. The boys begin to face their own behavior, and Bill hopes that a lesson in humility will reach them where punishment has not.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
