What happens

Forest Ranger Bill Jefferson is called to West Grove, Illinois, where a neighbor has been bitten by a rattlesnake hidden in a laundry basket, the fifth such case in two weeks. Police Sergeant Jim Donato, an old acquaintance, asks Bill to help stop the rattlesnake problem in the homes along the edge of the woods. As more residents grow frightened, Bill teaches townsfolk to identify poisonous snakes, give first aid, and understand snake habits. He also proposes practical steps for keeping snakes out of yards and garages, while Henry and others work alongside him in the search.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
