What happens

Jacques's wife Annie is badly hurt in an accident and his son Ernie is struck by a car, leaving Annie blinded and Ernie with a damaged leg. Bitter toward God, Jacques refuses to accept what has happened, and his shop burns soon after. Bill offers to help him rebuild and asks him to reconsider his faith. The story follows Jacques as he struggles with his anger and his grief over his family's suffering.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
