What happens
Ranger Bill, a United States forest ranger in the American West, is drawn into a mystery when wilderness above the timberline is said to be haunted by a strange, eerie howling. Craig Carstairs, a wealthy big game hunter, arrives in the mountains determined to shoot a record Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. Bill and his companion Grey Wolf investigate reports of an unseen creature and a series of frightening tracks in the snow. Carstairs is frustrated by the people who have been wandering through the hunting grounds, and locals are increasingly afraid to go into the mountains at all. Ranger Bill reviews the sound recordings and then sets out to track the creature, following its trail through the high snowfields.

Listen for: The eerie, ghostly howling and screeching in the mountains, and Ranger Bill's dialogue as he sets out to hunt the creature.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
