What happens

Ranger Bill and Lieutenant Larson fly a helicopter to a remote cabin in Lost Canyon, where an old man named Margrave lives alone and has not been seen for a week. They find him bound and badly weakened, and bring him to Nutty Pine for care. Back at the ranger station, Bill pieces together clues from the cabin, including cartridges from a rifle and footprints of two men, and from the doctor's diary, which records a pair of rare bald eagles nesting on a cliff above the cabin. Bill plans a rescue for the nest, and the story turns to the eagles and the men who threaten them.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
