What happens

Ranger Bill leads a rescue effort in the Savage Mountains, known as the Refrigerator Mountains, after a party of mountain climbers is trapped in bitter cold following a fall. Several climbers are stranded on a ledge above a deep crevasse, and the Ranger and his crew, including Gray Wolf, Judge and Andy, work to reach them by helicopter. The men are hoisted out one at a time, but two climbers who fell further into the crevasse remain unaccounted for. The Smith and Porter fathers ask the Rangers to stop, but Bill insists on going back to search. The episode is part of the Ranger Bill radio series, broadcast on February 5, 1957.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
