What happens

Ranger Bill investigates a trapping mystery in the far north country. Trappers Abe and Jeff find their traps on the short run sprung and emptied, and strange tracks lead the trappers to believe a wolverine is responsible. Fear spreads through the trapping community, and Roy at Trapper's Landing worries that the men will quit for the season. Ranger Bill and his companions travel by dog sled to Trapper's Landing to calm the trappers and look into the tracks. The transcript ends partway through the story, before the investigation is concluded.

A remote northern trapping country with a trapper's cabin, a trapping post called Trapper's Landing, and the surrounding snowy forest and lakes.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
