What happens
Ranger Bill investigates a dispute among the directors of the Board of Missions and the local orphanage in Nadi Pine. Board member Steve is criticised for spending long hours in prayer rather than in practical work, and his absence from meetings raises suspicion. Bill, who serves on both boards, becomes concerned when Steve is seen with a stranger who walks with a limp and has registered at the hotel under a name that does not match his luggage. The story is part of the Ranger Bill series, first broadcast on 1957-01-30.

Listen for: Bill's conversations with the other board members and the arrival of the stranger with the limp
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
