What happens

Phil Harris and Alice Faye play a couple whose home is overtaken by the ukulele craze sweeping the country. Phil insists that twenty years ago he was the rage of Nashville under the name Yuki Harris, and he and their friend Frankie Remley take up the instrument with teenage enthusiasm. Their neighbor Willie wants to learn a song for a Halloween masquerade, while a lovesick young man named Julius asks for help winning Emma from a rival who can play the ukulele. Broadcast on NBC on October 30, 1949, as part of The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show, the episode offers a comic run of lessons, advice and mishaps leading up to the evening's party.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
