What happens

Alice Faye plans a surprise costume party for her husband Phil Harris, whose birthday has just passed while he was away on a business trip. Elliot Lewis helps her arrange it, and Phil is coaxed into a Scottish kilt while Elliot is given a Peter Pan suit. The men instead end up in old Navy sailor uniforms, leading them to a series of mix-ups around the Navy Yard. This episode of The Phil Harris and Alice Faye Show aired on NBC on November 9, 1952. The story is still underway in this part of the broadcast.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
