What happens
Phil Harris and Alice Faye take their children shopping at a department store two days before Christmas, and Phil is unimpressed by the store Santa Claus. Later, presents are stolen from the Harris car in a parking lot. Frankie Remley and Curly suspect a small boy, who admits he has been taking gifts because he has nothing for Christmas himself. Phil offers to buy him presents and invites him home to see Santa with the family. The episode is part of The Phil Harris series, first broadcast on NBC on December 23, 1951, with Phil Harris and Alice Faye in the leading roles, alongside Elliott Lewis and Gale Gordon.

Characters: Phil Harris, Alice Faye, Frankie Remley, Curly, Willie, Bill Foreman
Listen for: The small boy's confession in the parking lot, and Phil's offer to bring him home to see Santa Claus.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
