What happens

Phil Harris and Alice Faye are urged by Alice's brother Willie to give blood to the Red Cross after he has donated a pint himself. Phil, nervous about the needle, tries to find excuses, and Frankie Remley and Curly are drafted into going with them. Alice and the men arrive at the blood bank, where Phil sings to calm his nerves while the staff prepares them. The comedy builds as the men stall and hunt for ways out of donating. This episode of The Phil Harris and Alice Faye Show aired on NBC on November 11, 1951, and was written to encourage Red Cross blood donations for wounded soldiers in Korea.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
