What happens

Phil Harris and Alice Faye prepare for a trip to Europe, where Phil and Jack Benny are booked for a run at the Palladium in London. Before they leave, Alice needs Phil and Frankie to get vaccinated against smallpox, and she devises a scheme to trick Phil into going to the doctor's office. Phil, who is terrified of needles, resists, and the situation escalates into a series of farcical mishaps involving Dr. Brannigan and an unexpected visit to a pool hall. This is an episode of The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show, broadcast on NBC on June 4, 1950.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
