What happens
Phil Harris and Alice Faye are at home on the day before New Year's, when Phil has already set out to empty the liquor cabinet and celebrate, and friends and relatives keep dropping in. A fan magazine reporter is due to interview Alice, and Phil's old scrapbook is pulled out, bringing up embarrassing childhood photographs and memories. Phil's band members also come by for a rehearsal, adding to the day's confusion.
