What happens
Phil Harris, worried about his old age, plans to have his young daughters trained as singers so they can support him. His wife Alice objects, and the household argues over the lessons. The episode is part of The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show, broadcast on NBC, with Phil Harris and Alice Faye in the leading roles, and it was first aired on January 14, 1951.
Hollywood, California, at the Harris home, a rehearsal studio, and a nightclub.
Characters: Phil Harris, Alice Faye, Frankie Remley, Carmen Lombardo, Elliott Lewis, Gale Gordon, Baby Alice, Phyllis
Listen for: Phil's plan to make his daughters sing for money, and Alice's objections to it.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
