What happens
Phil Harris brings his daughters to NBC to watch his orchestra rehearse, and the band's rehearsal is disrupted when guitarist Frankie Remley turns up late and wearing a beret. Frankie has fallen for Cynthia Cavendish, a self-described artist, and he has become convinced he is a sculptor. Phil agrees to watch Frankie work, and Cynthia comes along to pose for him. The episode is part of The Phil Harris series, first broadcast on NBC on April 25, 1948, and stars Phil Harris and Alice Faye, with Elliott Lewis and Gale Gordon also in the cast.
NBC studios and band rehearsal, then Phil Harris's house, Los Angeles
Characters: Phil Harris, Alice Faye, Frankie Remley, Cynthia Cavendish, Curly, Julius
Listen for: Frankie Remley's sculpting session at Phil's house, Cynthia's arrival and the leopard skin posing scene, and Alice's entrance
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
