What happens

Phil Harris and Alice Faye run their household in this episode of The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show, which aired on NBC on 1953-10-23. When the kitchen floor begins to sag, Phil decides to crawl beneath the house to examine it, and Alice follows him to help. Phil's friends Curly and Elliot Lewis then take on the repair, lifting the house with a jack and planning a new support beam. Their efforts quickly grow more chaotic as the work continues.

Characters: Phil Harris, Alice Faye, Elliott Lewis, Gale Gordon, Curly, Julius, Mr. Strong

Listen for: The comedic repair attempts on the sagging kitchen floor, and Phil and Alice's banter as they discuss the bad cake.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
