What happens

Phil Harris and Alice Faye return home to Encino after a summer personal appearance tour, only to find their house has been turned into a makeshift motel. Phil had left a key with Frankie, who has been letting in a crowd of odd guests, and the house is now full of boarders, a bootlegger's gin operation and a trained seal. Curly, the couple's friend, is furious at what he finds, while Elliot Lewis insists that everyone call him by his real name. The couple scrambles to clear out the guests before Alice discovers the mess.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
