What happens
Phil Harris and Alice Faye prepare for a Mother's Day party at RCA Victor, hosted by sponsor Mr. Scott, who has invited the employees and their mothers. Mr. Scott is distressed that his own mother cannot attend, and Phil sets out to find someone to fill the empty seat for him. The Phil Harris-Alice Faye show aired on NBC on May 13, 1951, with Phil Harris and Alice Faye in the leading roles.

Listen for: The running argument over whose mother is prettiest, and Phil's plan to hire a stand-in mother for Mr. Scott.
Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
