What happens

Phil Harris and Alice Faye learn that their acquaintance Grogan plans to hold a party at their house for an old friend, Red Cross, who has just been released from prison. Grogan arrives with a crowd of rowdy guests, and Phil and Alice find their home overrun while they try to keep things under control. The Phil Harris series aired on NBC, and this 1952 episode stars Phil Harris, Alice Faye, Elliott Lewis and Gale Gordon. The broadcast, heard as a transcribed program, has a cast of outlandish guests whose behavior escalates quickly. The transcript reaches only part of the episode, so the full story is not told here.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
