What happens
Frankie Remley calls Phil Harris with news that a sponsor has signed him to star in his own television show. Phil and his wife Alice Faye are skeptical, and Phil dismisses the idea of television work for himself. Frankie, however, tries to secure Alice's signature on a contract for a sultry television role modeled on the lonesome gal character, while he arranges a meeting with the sponsor, Mr. Finklefinger. Phil Harris and Alice Faye star in this comedy from the Phil Harris radio series, originally broadcast on NBC on December 2, 1951.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
