What happens
Phil Harris and Elliott Lewis, playing themselves, face trouble when Phil Harris has taken twenty dollars for a corny comedy routine that Elliott Lewis has no interest in performing. Meanwhile, Alice Faye's character wants to attend a costume dance at the Lakeside Country Club, and her father, Phil Harris, agrees to chaperone her there. The Phil Harris-Alice Faye show aired on NBC on December 18, 1953, under the RCA Victor sponsorship. The story follows the two men as they try to resolve the dance and the twenty-dollar debt.

Written from the episode itself; it never gives away the ending. Every recording is remastered for the stream: cleaned of rumble, hiss and mains hum (and the old TV whine where we found it), then levelled in two passes to steady broadcast loudness, so one show is never quieter than the next.
